Grants
Capital Improvement Grants Deadline: Fall - October 1st & Spring - April 1st
Capital Improvement Grants are offered on a competitive basis to non-profit human service organizations providing services to children and youth in
Bucks County. These grants, ranging in value up to $10,000, will be reviewed for capital campaigns including structural improvements to the facility (bricks & mortar, such as new buildings or addition to existing buildings), or extensive renovation or addition of durable equipment to an existing
structure.
Following submission of a "Letter of Inquiry", we require applicants to contact FCP to set up a pre-grant meeting. Applications
for these grants are accepted for review on an ongoing basis. Grants are distributed in the spring and fall of each year.
Foundations Community Partnership requires a full due-diligence review of all "Capital Campaign" applications. This process requires verification of non-profit status through "Guidestar", a review of recent independent audits and financial statements, a pre-grant meeting and a site visit by members of the FCP staff and Board. The process also follows the standards set by the "Council on Foundations" for Grantmaking Foundations.
Only complete applications submitted by the "Deadline" will be reviewed. Late applications, incomplete applications or applications that are not consistent with the Mission, Values or other requirements of Foundations Community Partnership will not be considered.
Please visit Delaware Valley Grantmakers at www.dvg.org and the Council on Foundations at www.cof.org for tips on writing a successful grant proposal and navigating through the due-diligence process.
All Capital Improvement Grant award recipients are required to provide a 12 month progress report.
