Grants
Capital Improvement Grants Deadline: Fall - October 1st & Spring - April 1st
Capital Improvement Grants are awarded on a case-by-case basis. Applications for these grants, up to $10,000, will be reviewed for capital campaigns including structural improvements to the facility (bricks & mortar, such as new buildings or addition to existing buildings), or extensive renovation or addition of durable equipment to an existing structure. Please contact FCP before applying for Capital Improvement Grants to ensure that your request is consistent with FCP criteria for this type of grant.
Capital Improvement Grant applications undergo the same rigorous, due-diligence process as the BIIG Program Award applications previously described, including a pre-grant interview. In addition, members of the FCP Board will participate in a site survey prior to the Award.
Before applying for these grants, we require all applicants to contact FCP for a pre-application interview. Applications for these grants are reviewed on an on-going basis. Awards are distributed in the Spring and Fall of each year.
Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) requires a full due-diligence review of all "Capital Campaign" applications. This process includes the Delaware Valley Grantmakers "Common Grant Application", non-profit verification through "Guidestar", a review of recent Independent audits and financial statements, a Pre-grant interview and a site visit. The process also follows the standards set by the "Council on Foundations" for Grantmaking Foundations.
Only complete applications submitted by the "Deadline" will be reviewed. Late applications, incomplete applications or applications that are not consistent with the Mission, Values or other requirements of Foundations Community Partnership will not be considered.
Please visit Delaware Valley Grantmakers at www.dvg.org and the Council on Foundations at www.cof.org for tips on writing a successful grant proposal and navigating through the due-diligence process.
All Capital Improvement Grant award recipients are required to provide a 12 month progress report.
